Volunteer Opportunities:
Church Services
Greeter - Bring a smile and fresh breath on Sunday mornings as you welcome everyone, pass out weekly bulletins, and answer questions! Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
Service and Coffee Hour Set-up & Clean-up - Before the Service: Work behind the scenes to ensure the lights are on, the signs are outside, the pews have communion elements, and the bathrooms have supplies. Also, start the coffee and ensure all the supplies are filled. After the service, clean up the trash (empty communion cups and bulletins) and resupply the communion cups, pens, and offering envelopes. For coffee hour, clean up coffee, snacks, and put away any perishable items.
Coffee Hour Snacks - putting your baking (or buying) skills to the test! We welcome all kinds of snacks to accommodate gluten free and diabetic individuals. Bring snacks to the coffee hour room prior to the Sunday service.
Children and Youth Ministries - We want FCCC to be a place for the whole family. As such, we recognize our need to begin development of a children's ministry. If you have experience in Children or Youth Ministries, please let us know. We'd love to be a place where you can use your gifts to invest in the next generation!
Music Ministry - Are you a musician, soloist, or team-singer? Maybe you have experience leading praise & worship. We are looking to grow our Sunday morning worship experience to reflect a wider range of praise and worship music. Please, don't be shy!
Technical Team - Calling all geeks! Do you have experience in working with sound boards, livestream set-up, or other technical skills? Experience isn't required, we can train those interested!
Outreach Ministries
Community Meals - This team focuses on outreach to the community by providing a warm breakfast prior to Sunday Services (schedule TBD) each month. Meal volunteers arrive at 7am to help in one or more of the following areas: set-up tables and chairs, prepare food, utensils, and coffee, cook, serve food, or clean-up.
Clothing Closet - This team focuses on outreach to the community by providing free, gently-used clothing during the Community Meals on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We welcome donations of gently-used clothing and non-perishable food items for our pantry. Clothing Closet volunteers arrive at 8am to oversee the donations and the recipients of the clothing.
Connection Ministries
Care Team - Are you able to help another person from our congregation when they are are in need, whether it is a helping hand around the house or donating a specific item? Do you enjoy sending cards, calling shut-ins, or sharing a meal with those who are ill or grieving? If any of these areas resonate with you, we'd love to have you as part of our team!
Mid-week Community Groups (Small Groups) - Life is better when we are journeying with others. If you'd like to form a community group, let us know, and we'll help you get started as you grow in friendship and faith with others.
